Body and Gender Affirming Portraits
You’ve probably had portraits taken OF you at sometime in your life. I would bet that you haven’t had portraits taken that encompass you. That bring out a spark of who you are and most importantly celebrate you for who you are as you are. Many times in photography the images we see are about how well the photographer can pose and light you. While this is a thing that can be performed at Proud Family Portraits, the focus is on you as a person. So you will often see non-traditional posing represented in the work shown. To do this you are simply asked to allow yourself to be present in the moment. To move and touch your body as it is asking you to. There is no right or wrong, there is simply what your body is yearning for in that moment.
